An Investigation of the Intercultural Communication Competence of Chinese Employees in International Organizations

There is scant research on the Chinese employees’ intercultural communication competence (ICC), despite increasing recognition of importance ICC as a qualified staff in international organizations. To explore employees and their perceptions, this study used mixed methods by drawing semi-structured interview follow-up questionnaires sensitivity with 7 participants. The findings show that participants were excellent terms sensitivity, key indicator ICC, they did not complain much about challenges, although mention some related to work style target communicating language. They also had different insights how cope which have implications for educators when developing ICC-related curriculum planning suggest prospective strategies knowledge practice those who aspect pursue career
